Ok I admit it, I am a total champagne tragic – not only do I live to share my passion for champagne experiences with the experienced and the uninitiated, but the whole fascinating history of the Champagne region has been hardwired into my brain since I was 15.

Why did Champagne Jayne start independent champagne edu-tainment classes in Australia?
Champagne wines are light, balanced and wonderfully flavoursome, making them a perfect match for the Australian climate and its lighter Asian influenced style of food. A glass of champagne always makes me feel like I’m on holiday. The trouble is, there are not enough champagne brands widely available in Australia and even less education about them. I want to help consumers to understand the differences between champagne and other sparkling wines and navigate wine lists with joy not trepidation.

Do you need to eat expensive food to enjoy Champagne?
Certainly not!
