Hosted at The American Club by Australian official #ChampagneDay Ambassador and Australia’s leading consumer champagne expert Jayne Powell (aka Champagne Jayne), author of “Champagnes – Behind The Bubbles”, on Friday 28th October 2011, a select group of Australian lifestyle media will gather in Sydney to officially start the global celebrations, raising their glasses to toast ‘Sunrise On Global Champagne Day’ as the sun gets ready to set in Australian skies.
‘Sunrise On Champagne Day’ will feature twitter tastings of eight exclusive champagnes – from artisan grower to prestige cuvee.
Effervescent MC Champagne Jayne will be joined onstage by special guest Ed Carr, Australia’s most awarded sparkling winemaker (creator of Arras) and Gourmet Traveller WINE magazine Winemaker of the Year 2011.
